MISSION of Glasgow Bible Church

Our desire is to help people become growing followers of Christ.

MOTIVATION of Glasgow Bible Church

Glasgow Bible Church is a prayerful group of believers who value preaching and teaching of God's Word, worship of the God of the Bible, loving one another in action, reaching out in evangelism and always aspiring to grow in our understanding of God's will to us.

VISION of Glasgow Bible Church

It is a dream of a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement. It is a place where growing and maturing Christians are challenged to continue in their walk with Christ.

It is a vision of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the thousands of residents in Glasgow and Barren County.

It is the desire to welcome hundreds of people into the fellowship of our church family – loving, learning, laughing and living in harmony and encouraging one another to love God, love people and love life.

It is the dream of bringing our church family to spiritual maturity through worship, Bible studies, small groups, seminars, retreats, camps... thus further equipping our church for the work of the ministry.

It is a vision of reaching the whole world through long and short term mission projects. It is empowering every member for a personal life mission in the world. It is the dream to plant new churches.

MEANING of Glasgow Bible Church

PRAYER

We take seriously the privilege to pray for one another in anticipation of God's merciful intervention. (Philippians 4:6)

PREACHING and TEACHING

We strive to teach God's Word with integrity and authority so seekers find Christ and believers mature in Him. (2 Timothy 2:15)

WORSHIP

We believe the worship of God should be the focus of our personal lives and of the corporate assembly.
(Psalm 34)

LOVING

We ask all who attend to commit to loving God and loving their neighbor by actively participating in the life of the church and sharing in the needs of one another. (Acts 2:44-46, Ephesians 4:32)

EVANGELISM

We value lost people and will use every available Christ-honoring means to help them to become growing followers of Christ.
(Luke 19:10, Matthew 28:19-20)

INNOVATION

We desire to be innovative and up to date in every area of ministry, creativity and technology.
(I Corinthians 9:19-23)
